Piramide di Caio Sestio

The Pyramid of Cestius is an ancient Roman pyramid located near the Protestant Cemetery in Rome. Built around 12 BC as a tomb for the wealthy Roman magistrate Gaius Cestius, the pyramid stands about 36 meters (118 feet) tall. It is an impressive example of Egyptian-style architecture, reflecting Rome's fascination with Egypt during the reign of Emperor Augustus. The pyramid is made of white marble and features inscriptions detailing Cestius’s life. It remains one of the best-preserved ancient structures in Rome.
